How it works
One call or short form gets your project in front of a deck builder who works where you live.
You call or send a request
Tell us your town and the job: a new deck, composite boards, repairs or a rebuild, new stairs or railings, or a roof or screens over the deck.
We connect you with a local company
We pass the request to an independent deck builder that serves Duluth, Hermantown, Proctor or Superior, depending on your address.
The company handles the job
They quote, schedule and do the work. Pricing, warranties and terms come from them directly.
What we are and aren't
Duluth Deck Builders is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't send crews or employ technicians, and we don't set prices. Using the site is free for homeowners.
In Minnesota, a contractor who works directly for a homeowner in more than one special skill must hold a residential building contractor or remodeler license from the Department of Labor and Industry, and only homeowners who hire a licensed contractor can make a claim on the state's Contractor Recovery Fund. A number starting with "IR" is a registration, not a license. In Superior, contractors must register with the city, and Wisconsin requires a Dwelling Contractor certification to pull a permit on a one- or two-family home. Ask any builder for their license or certification number, proof of insurance, who will pull the permit, and a written contract listing materials, footing depth, dates and warranty. Ask for lien waivers as you pay.
